Babaz pulled through an OK win against Aiwa Club Sunday. The weather was hot and ground was crap but the BABAZ puuled out a win against a pretty nuggety Aiwa Team.
THe babaz did some good stuff but mistakes and niggles here let the Aiwa team score some easy penalty shots and a soft try

June 6th we desperately need numbers, for our first A-LEAGUE GAME. Get recruiting, We DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH PLAYERS!

No training this week, but stay tuned we will be starting Monday trainings again so we need commitment from you all, numbers are going to be an issue make sure you can get down to training and also be on the look out for players – we will need everyone for one of the most important seasons in barbarians History. We are in A-league to STAY!
Barbarians are also ready to do some damage because our NEW JERSEYS are her, cheers to Roger for the sneak peak but here is the new strip…
DA Front
We do hope you APPRECIATE these jerseys! It took a lot of organisation from Arnie and a CRAP LOAD of money from Biffs own pocket to finally get these jerseys designed and delivered in to Japan.
2. THE STORY OF THE JERSEYS
The story starts in Australia with the team at COOGA, apparently the Barbarians consignment came over to Japan without full consignee details. There was no receiving address and no description of the consignment contents on the pakage.
So the NEW Barbarians Jerseys were held up in CUSTOMS for a few weeks due to a lack of information.
So in the end, what happened was – Japan Customs found out it was a shipment of “rugby jerseys”, for a team called the NAGOYA BARBARIANS .R.F.C.
Da Back
Then Japan Customs called the AICHI RUGBY UNION to ask them if they knew about the mystery items and the Nagoya Barbarians!
Then the AICHI RUGBY UNION said yes we know the team THE NAGOYA BARBARIANS, and the Aichi Rugby union in turn called NISHI to ask him about da strange package held up in customs!
Turns out the Nagoya Barbarians were charged a CRAP load of duties to the tune of 60,000 yen, but GOOD NEWS BOYS, the jerseys are here and we will be looking the part when we have our first game in the A-LEAGE.
Remember when we played against other teams with similar jerseys? Well this will be GONE because The NAGOYA BARBARIANS are the only footy team in Japan with this strip so wear it with pride!
3. HOUSEKEEPING – Pay your fees
Money makes this team function so be prepared to pay your dues. The fees this year are 15,000 yen!
Last year the membership fees were 10,000 yen and you get a thank you that is it!
This year 15,000yen helps to pay the membership fees and the new Jersey. But that is not all!
You also get a pair of: SOCKS, SHORTS, and Nagoya Barbarians drink cooler! – THIS IS A GREAT DEAL!
* If you ordered an Extra jersey for yourself the cost is 8,000, this jersey you can KEEP!
Please get your payments to BIFF by the END OF MAY so we can concentrate on training because we will need it.
Our first step into A-League is:
JUNE 6th against a higly rated J.R TOKAI in Karia.
Then we are on again
JUNE 27th against another strong AIWA CLUB in Toyota.
Get your dues paid and get your ass into training mode as we ONLY GOT 4 weeks left until show time. We sure as hell are not going to loose in our new jerseys!
4. Heineken in Belgium
The word from our Belgium connection is they are not happy to have Heineken written on the jersey, apparently in Belgium Heineken is NOT BEER, it is something you feed to horses and cows. Well Bart and Jerome, back home Heineken is something you drink if you end up going home with a horse or cow.
5. Membership Information
We need your details to register all the members: First name, last name, Date of birth, so next training we will be sorting this OUT
